Training
Each member of the Edgewater Volunteer First Aid Squad must have EMT certification from the State of New Jersey.
Volunteers
The Edgewater Volunteer First Aid Squad always welcomes new volunteers as EMTs and/or ambulance drivers. Recruits training as certified Emergency Medical Technicians are required to complete 220 hours of EMT training and pass the state test. Prospective ambulance drivers need to complete our in-house training program and take the required CEVO course.
Volunteers are needed for evenings and weekend shifts. These shifts are flexible to accommodate your own schedule.
