[ARCHIVED] TROPICAL SYSTEM EVENT ALERT FOR FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY EVENING

TROPICAL SYSTEM MOVING UP THE EAST COAST WILL BRING HEAVY RAIN AND "SOME" WIND TO OUR REGION, MAINLY FROM MID DAY FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. A FEW SHOWERS WILL ARRIVE DURING PREDAWN HOURS FRIDAY THEN STEADIER AND HEAVIER RAIN WILL MOVE IN BY BETWEEN 10AM TO 2PM FRIDAY. HEAVY RAIN AND WIND GUSTS FROM THE EAST UP TO 25 TO 35 MPH FOR LATER FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND FRIDAY NIGHT WILL LIKELY PRODUCE LOW LYING ROAD FLOODING. CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. SOME BRANCHES MAY COME DOWN BUT THE MAIN "EVENT" WITH THIS STORM WILL BE THE HEAVY RAIN. THE STORM MAY ATTAIN TROPICAL STORM STRENGTH AS IT MOVES UP THE COAST. 1 1/2" TO 3" OF RAIN LIKELY WITH SOME SPOTS UP TO 4".
