[ARCHIVED] FREE COVID testing to all Edgewater residents on Thursday June 11
The Borough is pleased to announce free COVID testing to all Edgewater residents on Thursday June 11 from 10am to 2:30pm at Veterans Field, 1165 River Road. The testing is in cooperation with the County of Bergen and New Bridge Medical Center. No appointment or insurance coverage is necessary, just show up. Saliva Covid tests will be performed, refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum 30 minutes prior to your arrival. Antibody testing will be performed only on those who have previously tested positive with a copy of your test results. All residents must bring either their driver’s license, social security card, passport, or birth certificate, and provide proof of Bergen County residency in the form of a lease, driver’s license, or utility bill. For those residents with medical insurance coverage, please bring your insurance card, there is no copay or deductible. Parking for this testing will be in the front parking lot along River Road then you must walk to the testing tents on the east side of the Community Center. Wear face coverings and maintain social distancing. Senior and adult transportation is available but limited, you must call Borough Hall for a reservation by tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 201-943-1700 and dial 0 for the operator. Testing is contingent on the weather and may be cancelled due to rain.
