When to Pay

Tax payments are due quarterly:
  • February 1
  • May 1
  • August 1
  • November 1

Edgewater is on a State Fiscal Year. Tax bills are mailed twice a year during the months of January and July. The January bill has the 1st and 2nd quarters which are due February 1 and May 1. The July bill has the 3rd and 4th quarters which are due August 1 and November 1.

Late Fees

There is a 10 calendar day grace period. However, interest accrues from the original due date for any payment thereafter.

At the end of the fiscal year a penalty of 6% will be charged on any delinquency in excess of $10,000 (New Jersey Statutes Annotated - N.J.S.A. 54-67). Tax sales are held annually, traditionally in June.
