EARTH DAY AND ARBOR DAY CELEBRATIONS - The Borough’s Shade Tree Committee, a volunteer committee of residents who work toward the education and preservation of our environment and trees would like to remind residents that April 22 is Earth Day and National Arbor Day is always on the last Friday in April.
The committee works with the Edgewater Board of Education in creating a program at our schools to educate our children on the importance of our environment and trees. The committee would like to ask residents to do something special for our environment and community by perhaps creating a garden or planting a tree on your property. Keep the “Tree” in our “Tree City” designation, 12 years and counting.
